Rachel Zegler recently reacted to Taylor Swift‘s performance of “Shake It Off” at Travis Kelce’s Tight Ends & Friends concert in Nashville. Zegler is currently participating in the West End production of Evita, helmed by Jamie Lloyd. The actress recently made headlines after addressing the impact of Snow White’s backlash on her mental health.
Rachel Zegler’s reaction to Taylor Swift’s performance explained
As seen in a recent video on Reddit, Rachel Zegler was signing autographs at the Evita stage door when she suddenly came across a fan with whom she had cried at a Taylor Swift concert. The Snow White actress was ecstatic to see the fan and hugged them. She enquired about the fan’s well-being, thanking them for showing up to see Evita.
Zegler asked the fan if she saw the online video showing Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” performance at Nashville’s Tight Ends & Friends concert. The fan responded that they did.
“I’m so mad I love you,” Zegler replied. “Thank you so much, so good to see you.”
The video sparked many positive comments expressing love towards the heartwarming moment between Zegler and the fan. The comments also demonstrated general support for the 24-year-old actress.
“This is an incredibly sweet stage-door moment that this fan will remember for life,” a fan wrote. “How fun for both of them.”
“They’ll never make me hate you, Rachel Zegler,” another fan added.
“HOW do people hate her she’s precious,” a fan commented.
In an October 2024 Teen Vogue interview, Zegler, who is a Swiftie, previously talked about her dislike for the negative treatment Swift received and how the latter had been “torn down” online.
The West Side Story star stated that it was “wild” that people put out baseless opinions of Swift online when they did not know the 35-year-old songstress. She urged these people criticizing Swift to focus on their lives.
Two years earlier, Zegler via X (formerly Twitter), expressed her anger towards the cruelty the media showed Swift. This was after a Barstool Sports podcast host joked about seeing a “sex tape” featuring the singer and Travis Kelce. Moreover, she spoke about the media’s double standards when it comes to sexualizing women and men.
Zegler added, “Leave Taylor Swift alone.”
