Tanner Martin cause of death explained

Tanner Martin, a widely followed social media personality and father from Utah, has passed away at 30 after a five-year battle with stage four colon cancer. His death was announced through a heartfelt pre-recorded video shared on Wednesday on the Instagram account he co-managed with his wife, Shay.

In the emotional clip, Martin addressed viewers directly, beginning with, “Hey, it’s me, Tanner, if you’re watching this, I am dead.” He explained that he wanted to leave behind a video that was lighthearted yet meaningful so that Shay could focus on mourning.

Martin expressed gratitude for the life he lived, saying, “I had a heck of a life.” He credited another individual who had shared a similar message online as the inspiration for his own. He shared, “I think it’s a good opportunity to get all your thoughts out and also you can be thoughtful about what your partner or spouse might need and she probably needs some time to grieve.”

The influencer took a moment to express gratitude to his supporters and urged them to keep Shay and their daughter, AmyLou, in their prayers. He said, “Life was awesome. I really enjoyed it while I was here.” Martin went on to share his hope that there is life beyond death, adding that he was looking forward to reconnecting with loved ones who had passed. This includes Shay’s father and his grandfather.

Reflecting on death, Tanner acknowledged feeling scared. However, he expressed his excitement for the “new adventure.” Diagnosed in November 2020, Tanner had been openly documenting his cancer experience online ever since.
