Sabrina Carpenter Releases Alternate Album Cover for Man’s Best Friend

With the release of Man’s Best Friend, Sabrina Carpenter has revealed an alternate album cover. Shared on Instagram on June 25, the image shows Carpenter dressed in an elegant gown beside a mystery man. The original album cover sparked major online backlash, and accordingly, there’s growing interest in the new one.

Here are more details about the new album cover.

Sabrina Carpenter shares new alternate album cover

On June 25, Sabrina Carpenter surprised fans by sharing an unexpected alternate cover for her upcoming album Man’s Best Friend.

Through an Instagram post, the singer revealed the new cover, featuring a glamorous image that resembles a tribute to an old-school Marilyn Monroe photograph. In the photo, Carpenter is dressed in an elegant, jewel-encrusted gown, standing next to a man in formal attire. Furthermore, a second photo gives a wider angle, showing Carpenter behind the same man, but now looking surprised.

In her caption, Carpenter joked about the image getting divine approval, writing, “I signed some copies of Man’s Best Friend for you guys & here is a new alternate cover approved by God. Available now on my website.” This alternative artwork is available for special vinyl and cassette editions through her official site. Fans can also shop standard versions of the album on vinyl, CD, and cassette formats.

This new reveal follows Carpenter’s June 11 announcement of the album, which included the original cover that stirred online buzz. That image showed her in a provocative pose: on hands and knees in a black mini dress and heels. Meanwhile, a man who is cropped out of the frame is pulling on her hair. Hence, the image quickly sparked backlash and debate on social media.

Man’s Best Friend is set for release on August 29, following last year’s Short n’ Sweet, her sixth studio album.
