Tom Cruise made an appearance at the London premiere of Brad Pitt‘s F1 to support his fellow actor’s new movie. Cruise last starred in May’s Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, which has since made $540.8 million worldwide. The actor is known for supporting projects that do not personally involve him, as he is a big supporter of the theatrical movie experience. Notably, the 62-year-old Hollywood veteran supported Michael B. Jordan’s film Sinners when it first premiered in theaters.
Tom Cruise showcases his support for Brad Pitt at F1 premiere
Tom Cruise arrived at the London premiere of Brad Pitt’s F1. The two actors greeted each other and posed for pictures at the red carpet event. The Top Gun: Maverick icon and Bullet Train actor last worked together on 1994’s Interview with the Vampire.
At the event, Cruise wore a dark gray suit, black formal shoes, and black aviator sunglasses. Meanwhile, Pitt, who recently got a buzz cut, sported a green double-breasted suit, dark brown shoes, and orange sunglasses.
Cruise also posted pictures of his time at the F1 premiere on both X (Twitter) and Instagram. “Great night at the movies with my friends!! You guys crushed it!!” the actor captioned both posts.
Pitt recently discussed a potential future collaboration with Cruise in an interview with E! News. The Academy Award winner shared that he would only co-star with the Jerry Maguire actor in another movie on one condition: the latter had to do a movie that was purely set “on the ground.”
“I’m not gonna hang my ass off airplane [and] s–t like that,” the Mr & Mrs. Smith actor stated. “So, when he does something again that’s on the ground.”
Earlier this year, Cruise expressed his excitement for F1’s release during a CinemaCon 2025 panel, as reported by CinemaBlend. Also in the same interview, the action star called Pitt “a very good driver,” adding that he “raced against him.” He also recalled a fond memory with the latter. “When we were doing Interview with the Vampire, we’d go and race go-karts,” Cruise added. “We’d literally finish and go drive go karts all night.”
F1 races into theaters across the United States on June 27, 2025.
