Scarlett Johansson ready to show her daughter Jurassic World Rebirth
Scarlett Johansson does not mind her 10-year-old daughter Rose watching Jurassic World Rebirth, which is the “scariest” film of the franchise. “It’s still appropriate for the family. You just gotta watch it through the crack in your fingers,” Johansson told E! News at the film’s New York premiere.
The Jojo Rabbit star, who wanted to create a memorable moviegoing experience for her children, remembers being 10 when she first saw Jurassic Park. The actress noted, “When I saw the first Jurassic Park movie, I was 10 years old in the theater, and part of the impression it left on me was the jump scares, the laughs, but the terror for sure.”
Gushing over what makes the Jurassic Park franchise so special, she shared, “That’s part of what’s so great about Jurassic. It’s that it’s thrilling in all ways: visually and also emotionally.” In addition, Johansson shared that she has built a new “family” while filming Jurassic World Rebirth.
She said, “One of the best parts of making a movie is the family that you that you develop while you’re shooting,” referring to her co-stars Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, and Rupert Friend.
Johansson shares her daughter Rose with her ex-partner Romain Dauriac. Johansson and Dauriac had a short-lived marriage that lasted from 2014 to 2017. Earlier in interviews, the actress had shared that her daughter is too scared to watch her Marvel movies.
The actress once told PEOPLE, “She likes that I play Black Widow, but she’s too scared to watch an Avengers movie.” She added, “She’s just like, ‘It’s violent.’ I’m like, ‘Oh God.’”
On another occasion, Johansson complained that her daughter Rose watched Wicked without her. She quipped, “My daughter saw it without me and I’m really upset about it!” She further added, “I’m going to make her go again, for sure. I’m sure she’d be happy to.”
