Machine Gun Kelly speaks about his and Megan Fox’s life after Saga’s birth
“Wild Boy” rapper Machine Gun Kelly is candid about reflecting on his new parenthood journey with Megan Fox. The father of two recently appeared on the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, where he disclosed how life has taken a turn since his daughter, Saga Blade, was born in March.
Speaking of his new life with Megan Fox, Kelly revealed to People, “Megan is in the no sleep club, for sure.” While Fox and Kelly are co-parenting, the latter has to travel for his new music. Kelly explained, “I’ve been traveling a little bit, just doing some performances. So on those nights, I for sure, just hit the snooze button a million times and I’m catching up on all this.”
The “Rap Devil” maker also acknowledged Fox’s journey of motherhood, which hasn’t been trouble-free. The 35-year-old artist noted, “Women are in the rougher trenches of the newborn process, but my specialty is music and laughs and whatever I can do to make her smile and kind of get introduced to the world with love.”
Meanwhile, Machine Gun Kelly also recently appeared at TODAY’s Citi Concert Series, where he shared the special meaning of his daughter’s name, Saga. The Bird Box actor disclosed that “Saga” represents the couple’s five-year journey through pregnancy losses before their daughter finally arrived.
“The five years of her culmination of coming, disappearing, coming back again, disappearing, coming back again — she is an epic story, and that’s what Saga means,” Kelly added. He also noted that the word “Saga” is a tribute to his Nordic heritage. “Sága” in Norse mythology refers to the goddess of storytelling.
The Tickets to My Downfall hitmaker gushed, “I think she has a storytelling future ahead of her.” Additionally, the musician also praised Fox’s parenting TODAY, saying, “Megan’s a great mom and she’s killing it — I’m so excited.”
