Dakota Johnson shares she is planning to get inked to pay tribute to her late dog
Dakota Johnson wants to have a new tattoo to pay tribute to her dog, Zeppelin, who passed away in December. The actress opened up about the loss of her 17-year-old dog, Zeppelin, in a new MTV interview.
When the interviewer asked if Johnson planned to have a new “stick and poke,” the actress disclosed that she planned to get a tattoo for Zeppelin but did not have the “time” yet. The actress noted that she does not wish to get Zeppelin’s paw prints tattooed.
However, she might get a little “Z” as a memory of her late dog. The Madame Web star called Zeppelin the “love” of her life, adding the dog’s death has made everything “bleak” and that “nothing matters” without him.
Over the years, Johnson has expanded her ink collection consistently. Reports say that the Cha Cha Real Smooth actress currently has over a dozen dainty tattoos. She reportedly started adding tattoos to her body even before her Hollywood breakthrough.
The 35-year-old actress’s most prominent piece features three birds in flight across her upper back, honoring her grandmother. One of her other tattoos, situated on her right forearm, displays a script piece in Persian. The script reportedly translates to “Love creates love” (via Pop Sugar).
Interestingly, Johnson also has an undisclosed butt tattoo. Reports claim that the star’s rear tattoo was the reason why she had to use a body double during Fifty Shades of Grey filming. The cinematographer of the film, Seamus McGarvey, revealed that the team cast a “non-tattooed bottom” for Johnson (via The New York Times).
Johnson’s passion for body art extends beyond personal ink. She reportedly tattooed The Lost Daughter costar Olivia Colman’s family initials during their collaboration. In the recent MTV interview, she also shared that she could give Chris Evans a “stick and poke” if he wanted.
