Bad Bunny has clarified a major fan misconception ahead of his highly anticipated world tour. As speculation made its rounds that the Latin superstar would follow a Taylor Swift-style blueprint for his upcoming shows, the artist quickly shut it down.
Bad Bunny mentions Taylor Swift in comments as he addresses tour expectations
As Bad Bunny gears up for his massive all-stadium world tour, the global superstar has set the record straight about what fans can expect and what they shouldn’t. In a recent interview, he made it clear that his upcoming tour won’t follow the same retrospective format as Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour, despite fan speculation.
Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos, starting from November 21 in the Dominican Republic, will primarily focus on his latest album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. While fans might hope for a career-spanning setlist, the Puerto Rican artist shut down comparisons to Swift’s multi-album celebration.
“First of all, I’m not Taylor Swift,” he told Variety. “I want to clarify now so that they don’t get so excited: It’s not going to be organized that way. It’s still very much a tour for Debi, with some older songs sprinkled in.”
The tour, produced by Live Nation, will take Bad Bunny across Latin America and Europe, including his first-ever performances in Japan, Australia, and Brazil. With 2.6 million tickets sold, the trek is already on the way to breaking records, reportedly making him the first Spanish-language artist to headline stadiums in seven countries on the itinerary.
Despite the tour’s massive scale, he remains grounded, joking about his initial disbelief at playing two nights in Sweden. “I like to perform like nobody there knows who I am,” he said, emphasizing his passion for live shows. While acknowledging the challenges, he keeps perspective, “My job is to fucking sing and even though it comes with its own set of sacrifices, it feels silly to complain about it.”
For fans anticipating an Eras-style tour, Bad Bunny’s message is clear that this is going to be about the present, not the past.
