In a recent interview with E! Online, Johsnon talked about how collaborating with The Last of Us actor was for her. Johnson explained the close relationship she shares with Pascal, noting, “Well, we’re really close friends. So the best part was just hanging out all the time.”
After describing her connection with Pedro Pascal, Dakota Johnson opened up about how viewers might perceive the upcoming movie, stating, “I hope that people just think a little deeper about what their true soul wants and what might be more valuable than actual valuable things.”
While Materialists is the first time that Dakota Johnson will share the screen with Pedro Pascal, she has had an endearing bond with the Primetime Emmy-nominated actor for a long time now. During her recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Johnson described her friendship with Pascal by saying, “Pedro and I were homies, yeah. We actually do hang out all the time, when we’re in the same place.”
Afterwards, Fallon showed Dakota Johnson a photo of her, along with Pedro Pascal, at a Stevie Nicks concert, in which Pascal was wearing Johnson’s clothes. Explaining the photo, Johnson jokingly remarked, “He’s wearing my — that’s my sweater. He does that a lot. He takes my clothes. Yeah, he’s like always underdressed — well, I mean like he’s wearing a t-shirt, and it’s cold outside. Not like he forgot his pants.”
Materialists, which also stars Chris Evans alongside Johnson and Pascal, hits theaters on June 13, 2025.
