Scooter Braun Addresses His & Justin Bieber’s Changed Relationship in Podcast

Scooter Braun recently described his current relationship dynamic with Justin Bieber in an interview. As such, fans have become curious as to what Braun said about Bieber and their relationship. The SB Projects founder and “Sorry” crooner began their professional relationship nearly two decades ago in 2008. Braun was 25 years old when he first discovered 13-year-old Bieber and the latter’s music talent. Braun subsequently launched Bieber’s music career, and the two worked together for many years before parting ways in 2023.

Scooter Braun recently appeared for an interview with The Diary Of A CEO, where he discussed his career, the working relationships he formed with various music artists, and his public dispute with Taylor Swift. During the discussion, the topic of Braun’s relationship with Justin Bieber was brought up, leading to the former shedding light on where the two currently stand.

Braun first shared that he discovered Bieber via church videos the singer’s mother had posted. He said that the video that “moved [him] the most” was Bieber’s cover of the song “So Sick” by Ne-Yo. The RBMG Records founder then said that Bieber had “incredible tone, soul, and charisma.” He added that Bieber had “more charisma” when they first met and that the singer was “funny.”

Braun stated that they “were able to achieve some amazing things.” He further noted that he was “proud of” the work they accomplished together and that he was “always rooting for” the “Never Say Never” artist.

Braun then talked about his current relationship with Justin Bieber. He noted that it was “not the same that it was.”

Elaborating on the comment, Braun said, “I think there comes a point where — I understand — he probably wants to go on and show that he can do it,” He explained that he and Bieber worked “for so long” and “had such extreme success,” noting how one could “get to a point as a man” and “show the world” they could continue their career on their own.

“And I completely respect that,” Braun added. “I think at this point, that’s what he’s doing, and myself and everyone from the old team is rooting for him. But I stopped managing two and a half years ago, and now, I’m a cheerleader from the side,” he further stated.
