Speaking with E! News on the 2025 Tony red carpet, George Clooney shared that his kids, Ella and Alexander, want to meet Taylor Swift. “They want to see Taylor Swift,” the Ocean’s Eleven star shared. “The funniest part is that they have no idea of references. Robert DeNiro will be at the house and they’re like ‘Who’s that?’ They don’t care,” he added jokingly.
Clooney shared that the kids are also familiar with the cast of Wicked and are big fans of the 2024 musical flick starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. “They’re looking forward to the second part,” Clooney said.
Besides talking about his kids’ pop culture interests, Clooney also showered his wife with praise. “I have this incredible partner who I couldn’t be more proud of. She’s the bravest human being I’ve ever met in my life. I am deeply proud of her and the fact that she’s in any way proud of me, if just, I can’t believe how lucky I am,” Clooney gushed.
Clooney recently played the acclaimed CBS journalist Edward R. Murrow in the play, Good Night, and Good Luck, which he co-wrote with Grant Heslov. Both the play and Clooney’s performance received critical acclaim, with the actor being nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play.
Clooney and Amal Alamuddin, a noted international human rights lawyer, got engaged in April 2014 and tied the knot later that year. In June 2017, the couple welcomed their twin children Ella and Alexander.
