Tim McGraw’s Daughter Gracie McGraw Reveals She Is Queer

Gracie McGraw, the daughter of country music stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, has publicly come out as queer, being the first time she has spoken about her sexuality. The announcement was made via Instagram on June 2, coinciding with the start of Pride Month.

In a celebratory Instagram Story, Gracie wrote, “Everyone get more gay now,” followed by a message that read, “Happy Freaking Pride. I love being queer.” The posts were part of her acknowledgment of Pride Month and served as her public coming-out moment.

She continued her message with a follow-up post featuring a graphic that read repeatedly, “Pride began as a riot led by Black & Brown trans activists.” The statement seemingly paid tribute to the activism at its roots. (via Parade)

While neither of her parents has publicly commented on the post, Faith Hill has previously expressed support for the LGBTQ+ community. In 2010, she stood behind fellow country artist Chely Wright when Wright came out as a lesbian. Gracie McGraw is the eldest of the couple’s three daughters, followed by Maggie and Audrey. Like her parents, she has pursued a career in the arts. In April, she performed in The Great War & The Great Gatsby at Carnegie Hall, where Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were seen in the audience supporting her.

Her acting credits also include the Tyler Perry drama If Loving You Is Wrong and the 2024 off-Broadway production of Babe, featuring Marisa Tomei and Arliss Howard. Furthermore, she is going to make her feature film debut in the indie drama Tox, directed by Kerri Lynn Miller. It is currently in post-production.

Tim McGraw has often praised his daughter’s independence and artistic spirit. In a 2020 interview with People, he said, “Gracie, our oldest daughter, is an actress in L.A.” He added, “She makes me proud every day because she’s such a strong, independent young lady who speaks her mind. And she makes me proud every day of the way she lives her life.”
