Sydney Sweeney Releases Soap Made From Her Bathwater, Fans React

Sydney Sweeney is selling soap made with her actual bathwater, and the internet can’t look away. In a collaboration with natural soap brand Dr. Squatch, the actress has launched Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss, a limited-edition bar infused with real droplets from her now-famous bath.

Sydney Sweeney will sell soap made of her bathwater, fans react

Sweeney, no stranger to online attention, is turning the tables. Following her viral ad last year for Dr. Squatch, where she teased viewers from a bubble bath, fans started joking (and asking seriously) about buying her bathwater. The actress wasn’t initially aware of the demand, but when she caught wind of it, she decided to play along.

“This is just such a cool way to have a conversation with the audience and give them what they want,” she told GQ, confirming that Sydney Sweeney’s soap contains real bathwater collected during the brand’s photoshoot.

The internet had plenty to say about the unconventional product. Some fans were all in, with one commenting, “Thanks, I’ll take 100.” Others were baffled, writing, “No way this is a real thing.” Not everyone was on board, though. Critical fans called it “ridiculous,” with one fan jokingly lamenting, “Every day we stray further from God.” Another wrote, “We need to look at ourselves in the mirror.” While one fan called out to the audience, “Imagine being down bad enough to buy this.

Named Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss, the soap isn’t just a novelty. It’s made with pine bark extract, shea butter, sand, and a fragrance Sweeney helped design. Titled Morning Wood, the scent draws from her Pacific Northwest roots, with earthy tones of Douglas fir, moss, and pine. “It smells super manly,” Sweeney said, describing it as rugged and outdoorsy.

Dr. Squatch is capitalizing on the hype. Only 5,000 bars of Sydney’s soap will go on sale starting June 6, with 100 exclusive giveaways kicking off May 29. At just $8 per bar, the product offers fans a tongue-in-cheek way to connect with their favorite star and maybe smell a little more pine-fresh in the process.
