Here’s what happened to Tom Brady at Indy 500

At the Indy 500 race car event, Tom Brady was called to the podium alongside seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, Jimmie Johnson. Upon arriving, Brady was greeted with a lot of boos from the audience.

However, the ex-New England Patriots quarterback didn’t seem to mind the negative reception he was receiving. He simply smiled and waved his hands at the audience.

While he played for the New England Patriots, the team fostered a longstanding rivalry with the Indianapolis Colts. Brady had ended the Colts’ season on four separate occasions. The two teams also played against each other during the Deflategate scandal. The ex-Tampa Buccaneers quarterback currently holds a 16-4 record against the Colts.

This would explain why Tom Brady was booed at the Indy 500 race car event. However, Brady poked fun at the negative reception he received. On Instagram, he shared a post thanking Fox Sports for their work on the race car event and Jimmie Johnson for letting him “tag along.” He then ribbed his involvement in Indy 500 in the faces of Colts fans. Brady wrote, “PS: it was great to get in one more successful drive in front of a bunch of colts fans.”

Brady is currently an NFL broadcaster at Fox Sports. He is also a partial owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
