Anna Grace Phelan cause of death explained
TikTok influencer Anna Grace Phelan has died at the age of 19 after a battle with brain cancer. Her family confirmed the news on May 23, 2025, through a post on her official TikTok page. “It is with great sadness to announce that our beautiful daughter, Anna Grace Phelan, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” the statement read.
Doctors diagnosed Phelan, who lived in Jefferson, Georgia, with glioblastoma—a Grade 4 malignant and inoperable brain tumor—in September 2024. She began experiencing symptoms a month earlier, including numbness in her face and leg, vision problems, and difficulty with balance. An MRI revealed a lesion on her brain, and a biopsy later confirmed the aggressive tumor.
“This is definitely the hardest news I’ve ever received,” Phelan said in a TikTok video at the time. “Just going to trust in the Lord and try and keep pushing forward.” She continued to share updates on her health with followers throughout her treatment journey.
In one of her last posts on May 14, 2025, Phelan revealed her tumor had grown and could no longer be operated on. “Things haven’t been good. My tumor grew and it’s in the area where I can’t breathe. It can’t be operated. So, I just wanted to say thank you for all the prayers,” she said (via 7 News). She asked followers to keep praying, saying, “It would take a miracle, but I’m not giving up yet.”
Her parents, William “Buddy” Phelan and Nadine Phelan, and her brother, Harper David Phelan, survived her. The family scheduled her funeral for May 29 at a church in Jefferson, Georgia. Phelan graduated high school in 2024 and worked as a receptionist at a medical practice.
