Lively and Baldoni’s explosive legal battle began in December 2024, after Lively sued her It Ends With Us co-star, accusing him of sexual harassment during filming. So, what did Kristin Cavallari say about Blake Lively and Taylor Swift? Here’s what we know.

Kristin Cavallari says Taylor Swift’s name in Blake Lively lawsuit is for attention

Kristin Cavallari said that Taylor Swift’s name was being used in Blake Lively’s It Ends With Us legal drama with Justin Baldoni “to garner attention.”

In a new Let’s Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari podcast episode, The Hills star and her friend Justin Anderson discussed Swift’s involvement in Lively’s legal battle and the singer’s subpoena. Cavallari opined that Swift being subpoenaed was “bulls—.”

“Well, I saw what her lawyer said,” the TV personality added. “That [it] was like she had to license her song that they used in the movie along with 19 other artists. And Taylor Swift is the one being subpoenaed. Like you could use any of the other ones,” she further stated.

Anderson added that Lively “threw” [Swift] under the bus” and “brought” her into the controversial legal battle.

Cavallari’s comments refer to a statement made by Swift’s representative to US Weekly earlier this month, after the “Bad Blood” singer had been subpoenaed.

The representative slammed the subpoena, claiming that it was “designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case.”

The statement also emphasized that the “Lover” singer had no involvement in It Ends With Us’ production. According to the representative, Swift didn’t even see the film “until weeks after its public release,” due to her being busy with the Eras Tour.

Additionally, the statement clarified that the only connection Swift had with the film was granting permission to use the song “My Tears Ricochet.” It further noted that, like Swift, 19 other artists granted filmmakers permission to use their songs in the film.
