Hollywood A-listers Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were spotted in SoHo over the weekend, turning heads for a rare public appearance. As legal tensions rise between Lively and her former It Ends With Us director, Justin Baldoni, the couple was seen taking a quiet stroll through New York City.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds spotted in NYC
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were seen walking hand in hand through New York City’s SoHo neighborhood on May 18, appearing close and happy despite the legal drama. On Sunday, May 18, the couple made a rare public appearance as Reynolds guided Lively down the sidewalk.
The actor wore a short-sleeved button-up shirt with black pants and sneakers. Meanwhile, Lively opted for a floral dress, white denim jacket, and heels. She smiled as they walked while Reynolds maintained a more serious expression.
Their public appearance comes amid a high-profile legal feud involving Lively and It Ends With Us director and former co-star Justin Baldoni. Moreover, the case has drawn in unexpected names since the legal proceedings started. This includes Taylor Swift, who was reportedly subpoenaed earlier this month.
On May 9, Swift’s spokesperson issued a statement to E! News clarifying that she had no creative involvement in the film. The spokesperson said, “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie. She was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film.” The spokesperson added that Swift only contributed by licensing her song “My Tears Ricochet,” like 19 other artists. The statement criticized the subpoena as an attempt to attract attention through Swift’s name.
The conflict began in December 2024 after Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment. Baldoni responded with a $400 million countersuit against both Lively and Reynolds. Both sides have denied the other’s claims.
