Cheryl Burke took to TikTok on Sunday, May 18, and shared a video of her response to the social media rumors about her appearance. The caption of the video reads, “I’m not on Ozempic. I’m not sick. I didn’t get a ‘new face.’ Stop dissecting women’s bodies like they belong to you. This is YOUR reminder: I don’t owe you an explanation for my healing or for anything quite frankly. Let this be the last time I have to say it.”
In the video itself, Burke began by saying, “Let’s just address the elephant in the comment section.” She then reiterated that she was not on Ozempic, nor was she sick. She continued, “I didn’t get a face transplant, and no, I didn’t get a brow lift. The level of projection that is happening and that I’m witnessing is wild.”
The Dancing with the Stars alum noted how disrespectful these comments were and how “shocking and hurtful” it was that quite a few of these were from other women. Burke, who recently celebrated her 41st birthday, added, “This is me at 41, I am still healing, still growing, and still choosing to show up.”
Burke made it clear in no uncertain terms that people who were in her space just to “speculate, compare, or demand answers” that they were not “entitled to,” were not welcome. She further added that those who were there “to evolve, unlearn, to support,” on the other hand, are welcome.
