As dating rumors surrounding Mission: Impossible star Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas continue to swirl, the 62-year-old icon commented on the latter’s upcoming action film, Ballerina. Cruise and de Armas first sparked dating rumors in February 2025 after they were spotted together in an outing on Valentine’s Day. They continued fueling dating speculations after being spotted together on subsequent outings.
Tom Cruise compliments Ana de Armas’ new film
At the London premiere of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Tom Cruise posed for a photograph with Mexican comedian and influencer Javier Ibarreche. The two discussed upcoming projects Cruise was excited to see.
During the discussion, one of the cameramen brought up the Ballerina premiere, following which the Collateral star shared his thoughts on the film. “I just saw the movie. It kicks a–,” Cruise said of the upcoming Ana de Armas film.
Cruise’s comments come shortly after de Armas named him as one of her top five action movie stars alongside Keanu Reeves, Charlize Theron, Uma Thurman and Sigourney Weaver in an Associated Press interview.
“Tom Cruise is obviously a legend,” de Armas told the outlet. “Doing all the action in the world, and crazy things. There’s no one like him.”
The Ghosted actress also recently revealed in a Good Morning America appearance that she had some upcoming projects with Cruise in the pipeline. “We’re definitely working on a lot of things,” de Armas shared. “Not just one but a few projects with Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie and, of course, Tom. And I’m so excited.”
In February 2025, the two were spotted together in London. A source told PEOPLE that the duo along with their agents were “discussing potential collaborations down the line.”
Ana de Armas previously expressed her appreciation for Cruise’s stuntwork in a 2023 USA Today interview. She said she understood why he did it, calling him “mind-blowing.”
