Ana de Armas is finally speaking out about her rumored collaboration with Tom Cruise after months of public sightings. In a new interview, she confirmed they’re working on multiple projects together. The announcement comes after growing speculation about their frequent outings.
Here’s what de Armas said about teaming up with Cruise, the filmmakers involved, and their recent appearances.
What did Ana de Armas say about Tom Cruise?
Ana de Armas confirmed for the first time that she is collaborating with Tom Cruise on several upcoming projects.
During a May 15, 2025 appearance on Good Morning America, host Michael Strahan asked her about rumored partnerships involving stunts and a major co-star. De Armas responded, “We’re definitely working on a lot of things. Not just one but a few projects with Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie and, of course, Tom. And I’m so excited.”
This marked her first public acknowledgment of working with Cruise following several joint appearances. In February 2025, the two were first spotted having dinner in London with their agents. A source told People the meeting involved discussions about potential collaborations. They walked together on de Armas’ birthday, flew into London by helicopter with Liman on March 14, and left David Beckham’s birthday party on May 3.
Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie are longtime Cruise collaborators. Liman directed Cruise in Edge of Tomorrow and American Made, while McQuarrie has written and directed several Mission: Impossible films and also co-wrote Edge of Tomorrow. In December 2024, Deadline reported that Cruise and Liman had joined a supernatural thriller titled Deeper.
Photos published by Daily Mail showed Cruise and de Armas in a car together after Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration, which was also attended by Guy Ritchie, Eva Longoria, and Gordon Ramsay. The two actors appeared to be enjoying each other’s company, though representatives for both have not publicly commented on the nature of their relationship.
