Victoria Justice has recently opened up about the We All Sing meme‘s impact on her life in a recent interview. As such, fans have become curious about what Justice had to say. This meme originated in 2017 via a video involving Justice and her Victorious co-stars Ariana Grande, Elizabeth Gillies, and Daniella Monet, where they discussed how Grande sang everything. As Monet and Gillies praised Grande’s talents, Justice chimed in and claimed that they all sang. Fans took note of Justice’s response and concluded that she threw shade at Grande, leading to an eruption of online hate aimed at the former.
Here’s what Victoria Justice had to say about the We All Sing meme.
Victoria Justice comment on We All Sing meme explained
Victoria Justice recently participated in Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meal series, where she discussed a wide variety of topics with host Josh Scherer.
During this discussion, Justice shared her thoughts on the fan love she had been receiving and opened up about the time she felt the internet had hated her. The Afterlife of the Party actress then brought up the “I Think We All Sing” meme that first went viral in 2017 via a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) featuring herself, Ariana Grande, Elizabeth Gillies, and Daniella Monet — and the subsequent fan hate she got.
Scherer noted how the fan reactions were “insane,” leading to Justice claiming that what she had said in the video was “factual.”
“We did all sing,” Justice added. “What do you want from me?”
Justice then expressed her disappointment in the narrative that ensued after the meme went viral and how she “got so much hate.” She also said that she had received “death threats,” noting how it made her feel bad for her mother who had been “freaking out.”
The Victorious star then shared her thoughts on the meme being “funny” to her currently. “I’m in on the joke. I say it to myself all the time. It was definitely a thing where it was like, the Internet hates Victoria Justice right now,” she said.
While the We All Sing meme did give Victoria Justice a hard time for a while, she seems to have moved on and has continued appearing in film and television projects.
