Fans found a new “album,” allegedly by Taylor Swift, titled Silent Algorithms, surfacing on various music platforms, including Tidal Music and Spotify, on May 12. While it is not unusual for the pop singer to drop a surprise album, the songs were uploaded from a different username, which means that it isn’t actually a Taylor Swift album.
Taylor Swift fans think ‘Silent Algorithms’ is her new album name
Swifties came across an album titled Silent Algorithms, allegedly by Taylor Swift, with a seemingly AI-generated cover art. The alleged album appears to feature over ten tracks with titles like “Breakdown,” “Chromatic Mirage,” and “Clockwork Fireflies.”
The album seems to be fake and uploaded by a different account but credits Taylor Swift. Fans took to social media to discuss the hoax release, which could be an AI-made album overall. Some listeners pointed out that it is not her voice in the songs.
A fan posted on X (formerly Twitter), “My TIDAL music player shows “Silent Algorithms,” which purports to be a new Taylor Swift album.” A second fan debunked the fake release, commenting, “I’m pretty sure it’s just a glitch.”
Meanwhile, Swifties speculate that the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker will perform at the upcoming AMAs 2025 ceremony in Las Vegas. Some fans think that T. Swizzle may “announce something” at the ceremony.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted some clues regarding Swift’s upcoming AMAs performance at her official site. Many pointed out Swift’s official store currently features 12 items at “26% off in her store.” The main tabs spell “AMAs.” This year, the AMAs 2025 is taking place on May 26 in Las Vegas.
Longtime Swifties believe there are no coincidences when it comes to Swift planting her “Easter eggs.” So, the site could be a legitimate hint before her potential surprise announcement at the AMAs ceremony.
In addition, the singer can also drop both of her re-recording projects in 2025. Swift has already put out four “Taylor’s Version” of the albums that Scooter Braun bought. So, the remaining two, including Reputation TV and her self-titled debut album’s Taylor Version, may get released this year.
Previously, the 14-time Grammy winner had teased what appeared to be a clue regarding the release of Reputation (Taylor’s Version) in 2025. She had dropped a subtle Easter egg at the iHeartRadio Awards 2025 acceptance speech in a video wearing a snake chain.
