Chris Pratt has received criticism from some commenters for not mentioning his ex-wife, Anna Faris, in his Mother’s Day post on Instagram. The Guardians of the Galaxy star wished his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, a Happy Mother’s Day this Sunday. This seemingly divided commenters, with one group slamming the actor for not mentioning his former wife Anna Faris, with whom Pratt shares a son, in his post, while another group came to his defense.
Fans call out Chris Pratt for missing Anna Faris’ name on Mother’s Day post
Pratt took to Instagram and shared multiple photos of Katherine. He wrote in the caption, “How do moms do it? Seriously. It’s like running a circus, a hospital, and a five-star kitchen all at once. Our kids hit the jackpot with you, and so did I. We love you. Happy Mother’s Day, Chief!”
This generated criticism as some commenters noted that Pratt did include Faris in his message. One person asked in the comment section of the post, “Where’s the tribute to mother of your first child?” Another individual wrote, “Wow, again way to s— all over Ana Farris [sic] for no reason.”
Pratt received a lot of support from fans as well. One Instagram user addressed the people who were criticizing Pratt, writing, “I don’t get these comments asking where his ex-wife’s post is. I don’t know anyone that posts Mother’s Day tributes about their exes?” Another person speculated that Pratt might have wished Faris on Mother’s Day through other means. They wrote, “He might text or call her and tell her happy Mother’s Day… but to post on social media come on. Yall act like if people don’t post it it’s not said at all lol this new world we’re living in is so sad.”
Pratt and Faris’ son, Jack, was born nine weeks premature in 2012. The former spouses have both spoken publicly about their circumstances at the time. Pratt and Schwarzenegger share three children together: daughters Lyla Maria and Eloise Christina, and son Ford Fitzgerald.
