Ellen DeGeneres has offered fans a glimpse into her life in the U.K. countryside and her new hair. DeGeneres’ recent Instagram video posted on May 4 revealed a completely new look. The former host has now switched to a grayer and brunette style from her iconic blonde.
DeGeneres shared this hair transformation with followers in an Instagram video posted on May 4, where she’s seen riding a lawn mower at her home alongside her wife, Portia de Rossi. She playfully captioned the video, “Portia thought it would be fun to film my first time on the mower. She was right.”
Moreover, just a few days earlier, on May 1, DeGeneres shared a lighthearted moment from a rowing date with Portia. In the video, her hair was partially covered by a black hat. In the caption, she jokingly wrote, “Life update- Portia and I are now rowers. We’ve already learned so much. For example, did you know the pointy end of the boat is the front?”
The couple, who reportedly relocated to the U.K. in 2021, has been living a quieter life away from the spotlight since DeGeneres wrapped up her talk show. After facing a toxic workplace scandal in 2020, which led to significant public backlash, DeGeneres moved away from the public eye. The scandal involved allegations of racism, fear, and intimidation by current and former employees of the show. As a result, DeGeneres apologized to those affected, and in 2022, she concluded her long-running talk show.
DeGeneres also addressed the controversy in her stand-up special Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval. She said, “I got kicked out of show business because I’m mean.
