Rondell Sheridan, widely recognized for his role as Victor Baxter on That’s So Raven, is back in the spotlight after being hospitalized with a serious health scare. The actor revealed he is recovering from a severe case of pancreatitis. He expects to remain out of work for an extended period due to medical treatment, recovery challenges, and restricted mobility.
Here’s what we know so far about Sheridan’s condition, hospitalization, and ongoing recovery.
Why was Rondell Sheridan hospitalized?
Rondell Sheridan, best known for playing Victor Baxter in That’s So Raven, was hospitalized in April 2025 with a severe case of pancreatitis.
The actor initially sought treatment while on the road on April 10, thinking he had a gastric issue. After returning home, he was hospitalized at North Ridge, where doctors confirmed the diagnosis.
Sheridan explained in an Instagram post: “I got home on the 12th and immediately went to the hospital at North Ridge and was told it’s pancreatitis. Tons of tests. I was in the hospital for nine days.” He added, “I got released and thought I was on the road to recovery but… my pancreas is inflamed and there’s not much you can do about it but just wait.”
Sheridan revealed that due to his condition, he would be “out of work for quite some time.” He created a GoFundMe campaign to help with medical expenses, which has since surpassed its $35,000 goal. The page, launched by actor Isabel Beyoso, states Sheridan has been “mostly bedridden” since April 12.
Beyoso wrote that Sheridan experienced an “extremely severe case of pancreatitis” and has been unable to work since the diagnosis. A week before his hospitalization, Sheridan appeared on Raven-Symoné’s Tea Time podcast.
He joined the episode alongside his former That’s So Raven co-star for a reunion conversation. Sheridan’s other credits include Cory in the House, Raven’s Home, Minor Adjustments, The Jamie Foxx Show, and A Different World.
