Why Fans Think Megan Thee Stallion Trolled Nicki Minaj

Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj, who have been feuding for a long time now, both graced the carpet at the Met Gala 2025. However, the “Anaconda” rapper’s fans recently took to social media as they began speculating that Stallion took a dig at her. The singers’ feud first garnered the attention of their respective fandoms in 2021 when tensions between them escalated.

Fans think Megan Thee Stallion made fun of Nicki Minaj

A recent post on social media went viral about the “Mamushi” singer allegedly trolling Nicki Minaj’s Met Gala 2025 look on Instagram recently.

In the post shared on Reddit, Minaj’s photo from the Met Gala carpet appears on one side, and an image of SpongeBob in a similar pose on the other side was supposedly posted on Megan Thee Stallion’s Instagram story.

This ignited discussions among fans of Minaj as they claimed that Stallion was trying to take a dig at the former. A fan on X (formerly Twitter) even took a shot at the latter and wrote, “This proves that Megan is obsessed.” However, most Megan Thee Stallion fans came to her support and asserted that she shared the story in question to call out those who were mocking her Met Gala outfit.

That said, there is no confirmation whether Stallion posted the story or not. Thus, the claim by Minaj’s fandom, Barbz, seems to be mere speculation as of writing. Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion’s beef goes way back to 2021.

As per Billboard, it started when the “Pink Friday Girls” singer reportedly unfollowed the latter on Instagram. In 2024, the feud took a major turn as Stallion released her diss track, “Hiss,” taking a dig at Minaj and her husband. On the other hand, Minaj didn’t back away and dropped her diss track, “Big Foot,” to reply to Stallion.

While the two rappers’ feud is one of the most famous ones in the music scene, there was a time the duo were close friends. Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion even collaborated on the hit 2019 song, “Hot Girl Summer.”
