Sawai opened up about her Met Gala debut in a recent interview with The New York Times, claiming the event to be “the place where you can have the most fun.” The Pachinko actress also called the Met Gala “a heightened version” of “red carpets” actors got to do.
Moreover, Anna Sawai spoke of her excitement for the event, noting how it was the first time she would get to “channel” her “androgynous side.” The Primetime Emmy winner further explained how clothes had to be tailored for her, as most clothes were “a little too long,” or “big for” her, due to being “a tiny person.”
