Sabrina Carpenter and Quinta Brunson’s SNL monologue explained
Quinta Brunson recently took over hosting the latest episode of Saturday Night Live!, also known as SNL, and was joined by the “Espresso” singer.
The Abbott Elementary actress took over the gig for the second time and started her monologue by saying that it was proof that one can take up any task in this world and perform it successfully. She stated, “Whether it’s because of where you come from or literally because you’re only 4’11. Yeah, that’s right. I’m short… But I love being short, and I want other short people to know the sky’s the limit. So shorties, tonight, this one’s for us!”

Brunson next broke into a song about her height, the lyrics of which went, “Being short is amazing, being short is just fine. I’m a cheap date cause I get wasted off of one glass of wine.” She even went on to mention all the successful people in the industry with a short height, when Sabrina Carpenter appeared on the episode in the form of a surprise cameo. Brunson further mentioned Tom Holland, Kendrick Lamar, Simone Biles, and more in her monologue.
Carpenter then joined Quinta Brunson on stage, and the duo spilled jokes about being short. One of the jokes was when the singer hilariously addressed the latter and said, “Wait, here’s a question for you. When you read short stories, do they feel like novels?” Furthermore, Carpenter and Brunson were joined on stage by SNL member Marcello Hernandez and former NBA player Dwayne Wade.
