During a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Blake Lively opened up about the emotional toll of the past year as she continues to navigate a legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star, Justin Baldoni. What did Blake Lively tell Seth Meyers?
Blake Lively recently opened up about the challenges of the past year during her appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on May 1, 2025. Amid her ongoing legal dispute with It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, Lively described how the year has been filled with both extreme highs and lows.
The Gossip Girl alum said, “I have had a pretty intense year. This year has been full of the highest highs and lowest lows of my life.” Lively discussed the challenges many women face when it comes to speaking out, explaining that fear often keeps them “silent.” She said, “I see so many women around afraid to speak, especially now, afraid to share their experience.”
Despite this, Lively expressed gratitude for the platform she has to share her story. She said, “But I also acknowledge that many people don’t have the opportunity to speak, so I do feel fortunate that I have been able to.”
During the interview, Lively also emphasized how her children, James, Inez, Betty, and Olin, have been a constant source of positivity in her life. She explained that no matter what she’s going through, she has to be positive for her children. The actress said, “It’s the best, it’s chaos.”
Her appearance marked her first talk-show interview since the legal drama started. Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni in December 2024, accusing him of sexual harassment and attempting to tarnish her reputation during the film’s press tour. Baldoni has denied the allegations and filed a defamation suit in response.
