For Severance viewers who could not get enough of Mr. Milchick, played by Tramell Tillman, the actor has some exciting news to share. The 39-year-old actor will grace the cover of Esquire Singapore in April.

The Esquire cover featuring Tillman has been designed in a signature Lumon manner.

Apple TV+’s Severance is not Tillman’s first acting project. However, it became his breakout role. Intriguingly, Tillman once shared with Esquire that he didn’t know if he could be an actor.

Tillman shared in the interview, “I had it in my head that I was going to be an orthopedic surgeon.” He explained that he initially struggled to believe in his acting career. This was because he had been told he wouldn’t make it as an actor.

Tillman revealed, “I believed that it was not a viable career for a Black man to enter into, and I would be a waiter for the rest of my life. It took many, many years and a lot of trials. A lot of lessons in the school of hard knocks for me to develop that faith and that confidence in who I am.”

He credits his passion and “self-discovery” as two driving factors that made him pursue acting. The actor stated, “I remember a dear friend of mine said to me, ‘Tramell, I’m at an age where if I don’t have to do something that I don’t want to do, I’m not going to do it.'”

Before Severance, Tillman appeared in several TV shows, including Dietland and Godfather of Harem. The actor will also be starring in the 2025 film Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.
