Macaulay Culkin gives update on relationship with his father

Macaulay Culkin has made it clear that he has no intention of reconciling with his father, Christopher “Kit” Culkin. During an appearance on Sibling Revelry with Kate and Oliver Hudson on March 30, the Home Alone star revealed that he has not spoken to his father in over 30 years. Culkin said, “He deserves it.”

Culkin also noted that his father has seven children and four grandchildren. However, none of them choose to have a relationship with him. His younger brother, Succession star Kieran Culkin, and sister-in-law Jazz Charton’s children, Kinsey Sioux and Wilder Wolf, also have no contact with Kit. Macaulay believes his father does not feel any remorse about their family dynamic.

Macaulay Culkin explained, “I would know, as a man myself, I would know that I f**ked up. I have more than an inkling that he does not feel that way.” He went on to describe his father as “narcissistic” and unwilling to admit fault. The actor said, “Me and him were always butting heads. Like I said, he was a bad man.”

Macaulay has long been vocal about his difficult relationship with his father, particularly regarding his acting career. He has previously accused Kit of being controlling and taking advantage of his success, refusing to allow him time off despite his requests. Now, with his own family, including two young children with fiancée Brenda Song, Culkin seems focused on his life.
