Lana Del Rey has publicly denied rumors suggesting that Kim Kardashian has filed a lawsuit against her.
The speculation claimed that the 11-time Grammy-nominated artist was facing a $1 million lawsuit from Kardashian over their collaboration last year. In February 2024, Lana Del Rey joined forces with Kim Kardashian and posed for the latter’s shapewear brand, SKIMS, in a Valentine’s Day ad campaign. However, the musician failed to mark the Instagram posts advertising SKIMS as paid promotions. This resulted in the nonprofit National Advertising Division condemning Lana Del Rey for her oversight and subsequently paved the way for rumors suggesting that Kardashian was suing the acclaimed singer.
Nevertheless, Rey has since cleared the air via an Instagram comment. Reacting to a post from Let’s Get Into It podcaster Sloan Hooks, the 39-year-old artist noted, “No, no, this isn’t happening. Not as far as either one of us knows. I don’t know where this started, but if it does for some reason have to happen because of guidelines, then we will handle it. But never an end to a friendship.”
Additionally, recent reports from TMZ seem to back Lana Del Rey’s statement about whether Kim Kardashian is suing her. A source close to the entertainment media giant, who is reportedly aware of the entire situation, has labeled the claims as “categorically false.”
