Amid the escalating legal battle between Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni, Hugh Jackman has been roped into the drama. With Baldoni’s legal team now seeking to examine Reynolds’ actions during the film’s production, Jackman may be called to testify. As tensions rise, reports claim Jackman is firmly supporting Lively and Reynolds.
Hugh Jackman to support Ryan Reynolds amid lawsuit
Hugh Jackman has become the latest figure to stand by Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in their ongoing legal dispute with It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni. A source revealed that Jackman is firmly backing his close friends. The actor believes that they are on the right side of the dispute.
The case began when Lively filed a lawsuit in December 2024. She accused Baldoni of inappropriate behavior on the set of the film. Since then, the situation has grown increasingly complex. Baldoni is now suing both Lively and Reynolds as well as The New York Times.
Now, according to recent reports, Hugh Jackman may have to testify. Since Ryan Reynolds was frequently with him while filming Deadpool & Wolverine during It Ends With Us production, Justin Baldoni’s legal team may seek Jackman’s deposition. A source told In Touch that Jackman won’t hesitate to defend Reynolds and Blake Lively. The insider said, “If this actually goes all the way to court and Hugh is forced to take the stand, there’s no question he will step up. At this point, Ryan is like a brother to him. He will have his back no matter what it takes.”
A separate Daily Mail report confirmed that Baldoni’s lawyers intend to investigate “the full scope of Reynolds’ conduct” during filming. The source added, “It sickens him that they’re being dragged through the mud, when in his view, they’re the victims in all of this. He’s being very supportive behind the scenes and he’s already defending them to anyone who will listen. So going in front of the court is no worry for him.”
