During a recent interview with DJ Akademiks, Kanye West claimed he never wanted to have children with ex-wife Kim Kardashian. The rapper, who shares four children with the reality TV star, made the startling revelation while donning an outfit that drew criticism for its resemblance to KKK regalia. West appeared in a hood and loose-fitting blouse during the controversial interview, further fueling public backlash.
Kanye West says he didnât want kids with Kim Kardashian
Music mogul Kanye West is candid about his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, in the new DJ Akademiks interview. The 47-year-old rapper confessed that it was âhis faultâ that he âpickedâ Kardashian. He admitted, âThat was my fault. No, that was my fault.â
He further noted that he didnât want to have kids with Kardashian within months of dating her. The rapper added, âI didnât want to have children with this person after the first two months of being with her. But that wasnât Godâs plan.â
West also elaborated on his current conflict with his ex-wife, including the latterâs effort to apparently block the song âLonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,â which features his daughter North and Sean âDiddyâ Combs.
He explained, âWhen my daughter was put on the song, thatâs when I realized that I didnât own their name and likeness.â He further stated, âI donât have at least 50-50 with my kids, so how is it joint custody? My kids are celebrities, and I donât have a say.â
West had previously shared screenshots of his argument with his ex-wife over Northâs participation in the song and trademarking the childrenâs names. In the text exchange, Kim Kardashian wrote, âI asked you at the time if I can trademark her name. You said yes. When sheâs 18, it goes to her. So stop. I sent paperwork over so she wouldnât be in the Diddy song to protect her,â she added, âOne person has to trademark!â (via Page Six)
Furthermore, Ye responded to Kardashianâs efforts by demanding that she âamend it.â His messages read, âAmend it or Iâm going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout. Youâre going to have to kill me.â
