He mentioned that he was allegedly sacked from the show for his sexuality. When doing Days of Our Lives, he was reportedly dating Richard Chamberlain. In 2009, in an interview with New Now Next, Eure stated that he was fired for being gay. He said he discovered the truth about his exit from makeup artists and friends in production. He noted that the real reason for his exit was kept under wraps as it could have led to lawsuits.
