She has also called Mexico City “her new home away from home.” Along with Alba, her carousel features snaps of her companions and some quirky motivational quotes. One such meme says, “Healing as a child requires a Band-Aid, but healing as a grown-up needs a Mexico trip.”
Alba’s Mexican roots come from her paternal side. Her paternal grandparents were born in California but were children of Mexican immigrants. Alba’s ancestral history was revealed on Finding Your Roots Season 2 Episode 10, titled “Decoding Our Past.”
