Charlotte Le Bon replaced Francesca Corney as Chloe in The White Lotus Season 3 after producers decided to recast the role partway through filming.
According to Deadline in March 2024, HBO needed someone who “played older,” leading to Le Bon, 38, replacing Corney, who is six years younger. Filming reportedly began in February 2024, and Corney spent about one month on set before the recasting took place.
Jason Isaacs posted behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram showing Corney in Thailand with cast members Aimee Lou Wood, Sarah Catherine Hook, Sam Nivola, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Parker Posey. These images confirmed Corney’s involvement in production before her replacement.

Charlotte Le Bon eventually assumed the role. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Corney addressed the change, stating, “I’ve checked out the White Lotus! Although heartbreaking, I’m so incredibly grateful for the short time I got to spend with everyone. I have so much love for this cast and crew. Season 3 is [going to] be [good]. I’ll be watching and supporting the whole way.”
The recasting reportedly aligned with character development choices. Chloe, who met Gary in Dubai via a matchmaking service, is in a relationship dynamic that drew attention due to age differences and perceptions from other characters. At one point, Chloe discusses wanting to sleep with a high school senior, which may have influenced the decision to cast an older actress to play the role with more maturity.
The White Lotus Season 3 is set at a wellness resort in Thailand and features an ensemble cast including Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, and Charlotte Le Bon.
