Joe Rogan calls out Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds
Joe Rogan did not hold back when discussing Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
On The Joe Rogan Experience, he claimed that the couple had damaged their reputation by suing Baldoni amid the It Ends With Us controversy. Rogan said, “Ryan’s trying to get out of it now. He’s trying to get out of the lawsuit and they’re like, ‘You are a key part of this.’”
Rogan backed Baldoni’s claims that Lively’s allegations of sexual harassment were part of a larger attempt to take control of It Ends With Us. He also pointed out that Baldoni had taken legal action against The New York Times, describing it as a “great case.” The podcast host and his guest, Brendan Schaub, agreed that Baldoni had no option but to fight back in court to protect his career.
Joe Rogan noted, “Especially, a guy like that who’s, like, known for being really sweet, nice guy and then he’s, like, ‘Alright, enough.’” He also emphasized that challenging high-profile celebrities like Lively and Reynolds came with risks, but Baldoni had substantial proof on his side. He referenced messages exchanged between Lively and Baldoni, which appeared to contradict her claims about feeling uncomfortable on set.
To defend himself, Baldoni has released private messages, a voice recording, and behind-the-scenes footage, arguing that they disprove the accusations against him. His lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, and their publicist seeks $400 million in damages for defamation and fraud.
