Sherri Shepherd Reveals Nia Long Confrontation at Othello Broadway

Sherri Shepherd has opened up about a tense encounter with Nia Long at the Othello Broadway premiere. The exchange, which reportedly took place before the show started, left Shepherd surprised and frustrated. Although Shepherd did not disclose the person’s identity, a later report confirmed it was Long.

In this article, we will delve into the details of the confrontation.

Sherri Sherpherd and Nia Long confrontation explained

A reported altercation between Sherri Shepherd and Nia Long has sparked speculation after Shepherd revealed an uncomfortable encounter at the Broadway premiere of Othello. On her talk show, Shepherd detailed how an unnamed celebrity confronted her just before the show started, accusing her of making negative remarks.

Shepherd initially kept the celebrity’s identity private. However, Page Six later identified the individual as actress Nia Long. Shepherd described how the actress forcefully grabbed her arm, turned her around, and told her, “You’ve been shading me.” Taken aback, Shepherd denied the claim, but the unnamed celebrity allegedly insisted before walking away. The interaction frustrated Shepherd, leading her to wait in the restroom during intermission in hopes of further addressing the matter. However, said celebrity did not show up.

Addressing the matter, Shepherd firmly rejected the accusation, emphasizing that she rarely speaks negatively about others. She also added, “I would say to unnamed celebrity, because you think I shaded you — which means you watch my show — I don’t know who you think I am. I think you get me confused with somebody, one of the bloggers or the influencers, because I know I didn’t shade you.” She also extended an open invitation for the actress to come on the show to settle the issue directly.
