While inviting Sivan on stage to perform his song “Rush,” Lipa said, “This next song in the set is different every night. So tonight, I thought it would be a big mistake if I didn’t play one of my favorite, favorite artists ever who’s also a friend of mine.”
In 2023, Sivan was a guest on Lipa’s At Your Service podcast, where they discussed the release of his album, Rush. They also revealed that their first meeting dates back to 2016, when he invited her as the opening act for his tour, Suburbia.
