A profile with the name of Kázàh Chyáñg shared a similar post on November 17, 2024, on the Jonathan Roumie official group. He wrote seemingly posing as Roumie with his picture, “My date of leaving The Chosen is finally here, if you want me to come back on the next season, I need a strong yes.”
While fans began demanding the actor’s comeback in the next season, the truth is the post is completely false. These posts are created by users to gain engagement and publicity. Aside from Facebook, there are YouTube channels running a similar engagement bait.
A channel named Nextfilm has made multiple videos with almost similar titles spreading Roumie’s exit rumors from The Chosen. Further, another channel named Next Show made a detailed video explaining the reasons behind the actor’s departure.
However, fans do not need to panic, as Jonathan Roumie is not going anywhere. In fact, he will be a part of the next two seasons of the show. In an Instagram livestream with Hallow App, the actor expressed his excitement for Season 6.
He said, “I am looking forward to – not the process – but just the opportunity to try to experience a little bit of our Lord’s Passion in a very controlled way and to kind of bring that to the world in a way that maybe reinvigorates their relationship with the crucifixion, with Jesus, and maybe ignites their relationship with Jesus.”
