Here’s Why We Won’t Get a Chicago Fire, PD, or Med Episode This Week

Viewers are eager to know if new episodes of Chicago Fire, P.D., and Med will air this week or if the shows will yet again face a delay. All the One Chicago shows hadn’t premiered after March 5, garnering concerns among fans. While it’s known that they are currently on a temporary hiatus, many are curious to know the release date and time for the next episode. So, here’s all you need to know about when One Chicago shows will return.

Will Chicago Fire, PD, or Med return this week with new episodes?

No, there will be no new episode of Chicago Fire, P.D., or Med, on March 19, 2025. This is because the shows are on a two-week hiatus.

NBC revealed that new episodes will not premiere this week through listings on its Primetime schedule. It remains unclear what would take the shows’ slots during their absence.

The previous week, the network re-ran the Special One Chicago crossover, which originally premiered in January. The episode started on Chicago Fire’s usual time, 8:00 PM ET. The network taking short breaks amid the seasons is a common practice to ensure its smooth run through mid-May when most seasons conclude. However, fans need not worry as the show will be back soon.

According to NBC, all One Chicago shows will premiere their next episode on March 26, 2025, at their respective time slots. Meanwhile, fans can enjoy the past seasons of the popular shows on Peacock.

Chicago Med will return with Episode 16 of Season 10, titled “Poster Child,” which will feature Goodwin crossing paths with a former patient, leading to his past wounds resurfacing. Frost and Charles will aid a patient grappling with his sexual orientation. Meanwhile, Lenox and Abrams make their best attempts to save the life of a patient who has been in a coma for two decades.

The next Chicago Fire episode, titled “In the Rubble,” will see Pascal experience difficulties as he doesn’t give up on his attempts to seek justice. Meanwhile, Damon aspires to secure a position at Firehouse 51 after returning to the floater pool. Then, in Chicago P.D., Burgess endures a deadly accident, which makes it difficult for him to recall details.
