Having known each other for over a decade, Lively and Swift’s friendship has grown stronger. Here are all the details fans need to learn regarding their friendship history.

Are Taylor Swift and Blake Lively friends?

Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s first interaction dates back to 2015 when the actress shared an image that referenced Swift’s song “Bad Blood.” As fans were growing curious whether the two were friends, Swift and Lively surprised many by accompanying each other on a vacation in Australia.

Since then, Lively has been a regular guest at Swift’s Fourth of July parties. In 2017, their friendship went a step further as Lively’s daughter did a voiceover in Swift’s hit track, “Gorgeous.” The It Ends with Us star was also a part of Swift’s 30th birthday bash, along with the rest of the friends group.

In 2020, Swift name-dropped Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ kids in her song “Betty.” Talking about it in an interview with USA Today, Swift stated, “I named the characters after real people in my life who I love more than anything.”

The actress also served as the director for Swift’s “I Bet You Think About Me.” After Folklore won Album of the Year that same year, Swift referred to Lively and her kids as the first listeners to her songs.

Lively also arrived at Chiefs games in 2023 and 2024 with Swift to support Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce. In a November 2024 interview with Deadline, Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, disclosed that Taylor Swift is a godparent to their daughters.

The singer was recently also mentioned in Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal feud, however, she has not yet made any comments regarding it.
