Let this be a warning, folks: don’t get too full of yourself. It’s just an invitation for the Universe to knock you down a peg. We offer up in example a woman in China who was monkeying around — only to get upstaged by an actual monkey.
In the video, the elderly woman was joyfully dancing and hamming it up for the camera in a The Sound of Music-style reverie at Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in southern China. As she showed off in front of the scenic mountain views, a monkey ran by, snatched her purse, and scampered off.
The woman tried to stop the sticky-fingered primate, but it was too fast for her, even with all her fancy footwork.
Luckily, this story has a happy ending. The woman was able to bribe the monkey back with food and got her purse returned.
