Jessica Alba-Led Underrated Action Series To Stream on Prime Video

All seasons of an action comedy series featuring Jessica Alba are heading to Amazon Prime Video later this month. The show served as a spin-off for the iconic action franchise, Bad Boys.

L.A.’s Finest begins streaming on Prime Video this month

L.A.’s Finest Seasons 1-2 will arrive on Prime Video on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, according to Amazon News.

The cast features Gabrielle Union reprising her role from the Bad Boys movies as Sydney “Syd” Burnett, Jessica Alba as Nancy McKenna, Duane Martin as Ben Baines, Zach Gilford as Ben Walker, Ryan McPartlin as Patrick McKenna, and Sophie Reynolds as Isabel McKenna.

The story centers on Syd, a former DEA agent, teaming up with Nancy to take down Los Angeles’ most dangerous drug cartels. Both officers also have complicated personal lives, which lead to tension in their partnership and a constant struggle to balance their duties as LAPD detectives.

Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier served as the showrunners and lead writers. Meanwhile, Alba, Union, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Doug Belgrad, among others, became executive producers.

L.A.’s Finest debuted on Charter Communications’ Spectrum as an original series on May 13, 2019, airing new episodes every week. The second season, however, premiered with all 13 episodes on September 9, 2020. A month later, the network canceled the show, per Variety.

Furthermore, the reception for L.A.’s Finest was lukewarm. On Rotten Tomatoes, it has an average Tomatometer score of 24% and an average Popcornmeter score of 61% for both seasons. The scores are much lower on Metacritic, featuring an average score of 50 from critics and 5.7 from the audience.

Fox had acquired the rights to broadcast the show as a fill-in for its network. This was because the network’s then-ongoing shows were experiencing production disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The series aired on FX starting September 21, 2020.
