GTA 6 release date confirmed to stick
Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI remains scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, in its fiscal third quarter 2026 earnings report issued on February 3, 2026. The company referenced the title in its forward-looking outlook for fiscal year 2027.
Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two Interactive, stated: “With ongoing momentum across many of our businesses, and the highly anticipated launch of Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19th, we continue to project record levels of Net Bookings in Fiscal 2027, which we believe will establish a new financial baseline for our business, set us on a path to enhanced profitability, and provide further balance sheet strength and flexibility.”
The earnings release listed the game in the company’s future product lineup as: “Rockstar Games – Grand Theft Auto VI – PS5, Xbox Series X|S – November 19, 2026.” The filing did not announce a new release date.
The report outlined earlier changes to the game’s schedule. It said the company initially planned to release the title in 2025 and later delayed it to May 2026. The company then moved the release again to November 19, 2026 in an announcement made last November.
In the same earnings statement, Take-Two listed key contributors to quarterly performance. It said “the largest contributors to Net Bookings were NBA® 2K26, Grand Theft Auto® Online and Grand Theft Auto V,” along with other titles in its portfolio.
The company reported no changes to the release date of Grand Theft Auto VI in its fiscal third quarter 2026 results. Its forward-looking product schedule also remained unchanged.
