Spider-Man Rumored To Fight a Never Seen Before Hulk in 2026

As per recent reports, fans might see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man teaming up with The Punisher to face the Grey Hulk. While the plot of the upcoming Spider-Man film remains a mystery at large, tiny details seem to be giving away hints at potential storylines. Meanwhile, fans and theorists have come up with various speculative plots for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The Punisher and Spider-Man could fight Grey Hulk soon

Spider-Man is reportedly set to team up with The Punisher, in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, battling against the Grey Hulk, as per DanielRPK. While this version of the Hulk has not made an appearance in the MCU, fans previously saw the Green Hulk/Savage Hulk first appear in Avengers (2012) and Smart Hulk in Avengers: Endgame. Now, there is a chance the Marvel fandom gets to see the Grey Hulk/Joe Fixit in the upcoming installment of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man (via ComicBookMovie.com).

Grey Hulk initially appeared in The Incredible Hulk #1 as Bruce Banner first turns into a Grey version of the Hulk after exposure to the Gamma bomb, later turning into the Green Hulk after continued exposure.

This plot hole–turned–storyline originated from Stan Lee’s intention for the Hulk to be grey, but printing issues caused the character to appear green, leading Marvel to adopt the green skin as his defining look.

However, the introduction of the Hulk’s Joe Fixit personality later took place in The Incredible Hulk #324, which addressed the Grey Hulk’s association with a different personality of Bruce Banner.

Despite reports of the Grey Hulk set to appear in Spider-Man 4, there is no confirmation from the studio about the same. While Mark Ruffalo will appear in the film, there is no official confirmation about which variant of the Hulk he will play, or if fans will see both the Savage Hulk and Grey Hulk in the film.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will come out on July 31, 2026.
