Yellowstone Spin-off Y: Marshals Gets CBS Release Date

CBS has officially announced the release date for Y: Marshals, the highly anticipated new spin-off from the Yellowstone universe, with Luke Grimes set to reprise his role. The series plays a major part in the network’s packed 2025-2026 midseason schedule, which features a mix of returning favorites and exciting new entries.

Y: Marshals premieres on CBS in March

Y: Marshals’ release date is Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET. The new series will be followed by Tracker in its new 9 p.m. timeslot and the second season of Watson, which is moving to a new night and time at 10 p.m. This scheduling positions the Yellowstone sequel as a flagship show for CBS‘ Sunday lineup.

The series will premiere first on CBS before being made available for streaming on Paramount+ in early 2026. The first season will consist of 13 episodes that follow Kayce Dutton as he leaves the pasture to pursue a career, joining an elite U.S. Marshals unit. The story promises to explore high-stakes manhunts and the personal cost of justice on a family.

Y: Marshals brings together a cast designed to please longtime fans and attract new viewers. Luke Grimes leads the ensemble, returning as the conflicted Kayce Dutton. Yellowstone veterans Gil Birmingham (Thomas Rainwater), Mo Brings Plenty (Mo), and Brecken Merrill (Tate Dutton) will join him. They will be alongside a group of newcomers, including Logan Marshall-Green, Brett Cullen, Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos, and Tatanka Means.

Moreover, the Yellowstone franchise has continued to grow with each spin-off, but Y: Marshals stands out for placing a longtime central figure in an entirely new environment, especially one where justice comes with consequences, and the line between duty and family grows even thinner.

CBS has also announced the release dates of CIA, Watson, Harlan Coben’s Final Twist, America’s Culinary Cup, and more.
