The Osbourne family shared a voicemail left by Donald Trump on Ozzy Osbourne’s passing that left Sharon Osbourne in tears. In the latest episode of The Osbournes Podcast, Sharon, Kelly, and Jack came together to talk about the aftermath of the Black Sabbath singer’s death, sharing the overwhelming outpouring of support from around the world from fans and notable world leaders. This includes both King Charles and President Donald Trump, who Sharon praises as someone who “has always treated [her] with respect.”
Sharon Osbourne says Trump was “a great guy to talk to”
Jack Osbourne played a voicemail left by Donald Trump about an hour into The Osbourne Podcast, titled “Remembering Ozzy: The Osbournes Unfiltered on Grief, Legacy & Love.”
“Hi, Sharon. It’s Donald Trump, and I just wanted to wish you the best and the family,” the president said. “Ozzy was amazing. He was an amazing guy. I met him a few times and I wanna tell you he was unique in every way and talented.” Photographs show that Ozzy Osbourne did shake hands with Donald Trump in 2004 during the 12th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party.
The president continued, “So I just wanted to wish you the best and it’s a tough thing, I know how close you were, and whatever I can do. Take care of yourself, say hello to the family. Thanks, bye.”
Sharon Osbourne chose to sidestep the politics in accepting the president’s condolences. “Listen, when it comes to politics, we know nobody comes out a winner,” she explained. “And now it’s more so than ever in history is it that people’s choice of which party, which politician, you can’t come out a winner.”
“All I know is a man that I know, I worked with for a month,” she said, referring to her time on the Celebrity Apprentice. “I spent one month with him and his wife, who was always gracious, elegant, just a delight to talk to, his wife.”
Sharon shares that Trump has frequently asked her about Kelly and Jack, describing him as “a great guy to talk to” and that he treated Ozzy Osbourne “with respect.”
Jack Osbourne responded, “Love him or hate him, he didn’t have to call and leave a voicemail.”
