Ana de Armas in final talks to join Reenactment cast

Ana de Armas is close to joining the cast of Grant Singer’s upcoming film Reenactment, which already stars Cameron Diaz and Benicio del Toro. The project, currently preparing to begin production in Los Angeles, will be produced by Black Label Media and 193 Management.

According to Deadline, de Armas is in the final stages of negotiations for the role. While plot details remain unknown, Reenactment will mark Singer’s second full-length directorial effort after his 2023 debut Reptile, a Netflix thriller that became a notable streaming hit. Patrick Wachsberger of 193 is handling international sales for the film at the American Film Market.

Producers Molly Smith, Trent Luckinbill, and Thad Luckinbill will oversee the project under Black Label Media. Meanwhile, Rachel Smith, Bradley Thomas, Ashley Stern, Rick Yorn, and Scott Greenberg serve as executive producers.

De Armas, an Academy Award nominee for Blonde, was most recently seen leading the John Wick spinoff Ballerina, which premiered in June 2025. She also appeared in Eden, which premiered at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.

Reenactment adds to Diaz’s recent slate as she resumed acting after a ten-year hiatus following her return in Back in Action. Meanwhile, Benicio del Toro joins the ensemble after receiving critical acclaim for his role in One Battle After Another.

As of now, the storyline and release date of Reenactment remain under wraps.
